Dr. Keith Baar, Ph.D…
Dr Keith Baar is a physiology researcher at UC Davis College in California.
He specialises in muscle hypertrophy, muscular endurance, and ligament engineering…
He is also the former strength and conditioning coach for the Michigan Football Team.


As the coach, it was his responsibility to get his players jacked, strong, and physically ready for “war” on the football field.
But Dr Keith Baar noticed a strange thing happening to his players…
Although they were ALL following the same training program…
Working hard, lifting heavy, and training to failure…
Only some of his players would grow huge and build muscle…
While others wouldn’t see ANY change at all.
That’s when Dr Baar knew that “hard training” alone wasn’t enough.
And he got obsessed with finding out why…
So he got his doctorate in Physiology and Biophysics… that’s where he learned about the “Steroid Molecule” and its effect on the muscle.
He finally figured out what happened to his football players…
Only a few of them had triggered this molecule during workouts.

Anabolic Resistance is when your muscles become “immune” to the stimulus provided from weight training.
Your muscles stop responding how they used to.
You stop feeling “the pump” after a hard session…
You stop bulking up…
And you struggle to add more plates to the bar every week.
Basically, once you become a bit more experienced…
Adding lean muscle mass gets
so much harder!
Anabolic resistance is the REAL problem…
And it BLOCKS the production of the “Steroid Molecule” in your body.
This is why you can’t get bigger, no matter how hard you try.
So the solution, then, is to activate that molecule…

The reason why Dr Baar’s American Football players couldn’t get jacked was because their bodies were “immune” to that specific workout routine… and the “Steroid Molecule” didn’t activate during their session.

Anabolic Resistance is complicated…

It’s completely situational to you.

It all comes down to avoiding the following three mistakes…
If your routine has the wrong exercises, with the wrong weights, and the wrong rep ranges… for what YOU need…
Then you’re going to progress at a slow pace.
And when you look in the mirror a year from now…
Training Mistake #1:
Following the WRONG training program
You’ll be looking at the exact same guy… and at the exact same physique!
So you can’t just “wing it” in the gym and hope for the best.
Here are the most common mistakes I see lads making with their programs…
⛔️ Not training with enough intensity…
⛔️ Not giving muscle groups enough volume each week…
⛔️ Not taking time off to deload…
⛔️ Not switching up the workout routine…
⛔️ Not knowing how to incorporate cardio into a weightlifting program…
⛔️ Not knowing if they should train for hypertrophy or strength
Just one of these mistakes can cause Anabolic Resistance and prevent your “Steroid Molecule” from activating.
Training Mistake #2:
No Recovery Program
As you already know, you don’t grow big and strong in the gym…
You gain strength and size when you recover.
But here’s the problem:
⛔️ Most guys don’t know how to optimise recovery (sleep, rest, relaxation, etc)
⛔️ Most guys don’t eat enough high-quality foods to build muscle.
⛔️ And most guys don’t have the lifestyle habits to consistently make progress month after month.
So if your diet and recovery program is poor…
Then you’ll only get a fraction of the gains from triggering your “Steroid Molecule”.
Training Mistake #3:
Lifting with the WRONG technique
Lifting with poor technique and poor form affects EVERYTHING!
Because…
If you’re not lifting through the full range of motion…
Then your target muscle won’t get the “hit” or the “pump” that it needs to grow.
For example:
⛔️ Some guys Deadlift but end up hurting their lower back!
⛔️ Some guys do Pulldowns but end up working their forearms instead
⛔️ And some guys do Bicep Curls but actually train their shoulders
I hate to say this, but…
From what I’ve seen as a coach for the last fourteen years…
At least HALF of the lads in the gym don’t have a clue what they’re doing!
Unfortunately, nobody has shown them how to lift with the correct form… and it’s killing their gains.
So, to sum it all up…
The top 3 mistakes that lead to Anabolic Resistance are:
- Following the wrong program
- Poor recovery
- Poor technique
But, if you can avoid these three mistakes…
Then you’ll be in a PERFECT position to jumpstart your muscle growth… by triggering the “Steroid Molecule” in your body.
Now…
Let me tell you what Dr Baar discovered that helped his players…
It’s the secret that will give you an unfair advantage on your fitness journey…
It has the potential to help you gain up to 6 kg of muscle, double your strength, and build a jacked physique… in the next three months.
It was a study done back in 1994 on the remote island of Rapa Nui (also known as Easter Island).

Professor David Sabatini and three other researchers visited Rapa Nui to study an antifungal bacteria called Rapamycin. (Rapa-my-sin)
They were looking at the connection between Rapamycin and longevity…
And it was confirmed that Rapamycin has the potential to prevent the spread of cancer and tumour cells.
But, there was more…
They figured out that Rapamycin also does something else…
It prevents the growth of
MUSCLE CELLS too!
Sabatini and his crew knew they were onto something big.
So they dug a little deeper…
And they found out that Rapamycin attacks a molecule in the body that is responsible for ALL muscle growth.
They called this new molecule the Mechanistic Target of Rapamycin
…or mTOR for short.
This little molecule is “the master” that controls the ENTIRE muscle-building process in your body…
If activated, mTOR has the power to TURN ON protein synthesis…
And put your body into
SUPER “growth mode”!
Never in history, had this molecule been discovered…
And on that very island, Professor Sabatini changed the fitness industry forever.
Here’s what he said afterwards:
“mTOR is the key link to the availability of nutrients and its capacity to grow… to accumulate mass and increase in size.
And until we made the discovery of mTOR it was unknown how this happened.”

Since the discovery of mTOR…
And the big claims about what this molecule can potentially do…
Different coaches, doctors, and researchers have put it to the test.
They wanted to make sure that mTOR wasn’t the next fitness fad.
So…
In 2009, a group of researchers from the University of Texas intentionally gave their weightlifters Rapamycin… BEFORE strength training.
They wanted to see what would happen if they blocked mTOR from being activated.
And guess what?
When mTOR was “blocked” from being activated… no protein synthesis occurred from the weight training!
Which meant that new muscle did NOT build or grow.
It’s crazy to think that someone can train for a full hour… and NOT gain a shred of muscle!
This answered so many questions for me.
I was starting to understand why some guys can train for months… and make very little progress.
The study confirmed that…
NO mTOR = NO growth
In another study at the University of Athens in Greece…
Gerasimos Terzis, a professor in Physical Education and Sport Science, wanted to see if intentionally triggering mTOR could increase muscle mass and strength.
So he tested six of his sprinters…
They had to complete a 14-week training program while each triggering different levels of mTOR…
Terzis measured One Rep Max (1RM) before and after the 14 weeks for every athlete…
And the gains were ridiculous!
He found that the HIGHER the mTOR activation… the STRONGER his athletes became.
After just 14 weeks…
His athletes added up to 50% to
their Squat One Rep Max!
Take a look at their gains below…

This study is important because it shows that different levels of mTOR activation cause different gains…
The sprinter with the lowest levels of mTOR gained the least… a 10% increase in his Squat One Rep Max.
But…
The sprinter with the highest levels of mTOR gained the most… a 50% increase in his Squat One Rep Max.
All of the research points to the same results…
More mTOR = more growth.
More mTOR = more size.
More mTOR = more strength.
This is what convinced me that mTOR is the real secret to building explosive size and strength, in the quickest time possible.
Imagine the results you could get…
When you start intentionally flooding your body with high levels of mTOR for every workout you do.
Hopefully, you can see that I’m NOT exaggerating when I say you could put on 6 kg of lean muscle, in the next 120 days.
Look, I know it’s possible.
I did it…

This is called the mTOR Signalling Pathway.

There are three main pathways that can “activate” mTOR.
Pathway #1: comes from your Hormones… your testosterone and insulin levels for example.
Pathway #2: comes from your Amino Acids… from your diet and nutrition.
And Pathway #3: comes from your Resistance Training… your weight lifting and strength training.

Hormones + Amino Acids + Training = MAX mTOR Activation!

Hormones and Amino Acids are quite simple to get right.
It’s about eating the right foods at the right time.
I’ll be honest though, it’s not too difficult.
